The middle pillar has a Kobushi log (log with mild  fragrance), very nicely proportioned. 

Antique paper is used for the Koshigami (that is papers to prevent clothes stained).

There are three types of ceilings: Shin(truth), Gyo(action), and Sou(grass)

The floor pillar is a polished log of Kitayama cedar 

The floor frame is a polished log with dimples 

The upper frame is made of red cedar
